The Lone Analyst Podcast turns each day's AI, cybersecurity, and tech policy news into conspiracy-flavored dialogue. Real headlines, unhinged framing, two hosts who mostly disagree about how unhinged the framing should be.

The Hosts

The Analyst

Goes by "the Analyst" and nothing else. Says using his real name is how they find you. Spent a few years in data infrastructure before a layoff he still won't fully explain, then started actually reading the SEC filings, patent applications, and changelogs everyone else skims. Broadcasts from what he calls "the basement," which is, as far as anyone can tell, real. Knows the tech well enough that the paranoia keeps landing.

Keiko Carrow

Former local news producer. Got hired for one season to "professionalize" the show and never left. Fact-checks the Analyst live, mostly to keep herself sane, and keeps a running note titled "things I had to Google mid-recording." Doesn't believe the theories. Can't always explain why some of them hold up anyway.
